West Nile based Club Onduparaka FC has today announced the acquisition of Zawadi Bus Services as their official transport partners in a press conference held at the Heritage Courts in Arua.
This partnership comes as a means of reducing the Club’s operational costs incurred while traversing the distance there is during the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and other activities there are for the Club.
The Caterpillars are currently among the teams that cover the longest distance in the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier League due to their geographical location.
Benjamin Nyakuni, the Club Chairperson of Onduparaka FC described the partnership as a dream come true.
I want to thank Zawadi bus services for accepting our partnership. It has been a challenging sector for the Club and Zawadi has answered one of the Club’s dreams.
It should be noted that Onduparaka FC last year started a fundraising drive to acquire a bus for its own means of transport during the activities.
However, this has not yet come to fruition. Therefore, as the search for more monies continues, the Caterpillars thought it wise to acquire a transport partner to reduce the burden the Club and its fans were enduring.
Onduparaka FC will host Vipers at Greenlight Stadium next week on Saturday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League – a match to be broadcast live on Sanyuka TV starting at 3 PM.
