Abdallah Mubiru ended his spell as head coach of the Uganda Cranes with a perfect record, winning all the four games he’s been in charge of.
The Police FC tactician this evening guided the Cranes to a 3-0 win over Burundi in the second leg of the second round of the qualifiers for the CHAN 2020 leaving the National Team job with a 100% record.
Mubiru started his reign as Cranes Head Coach against Somalia in the CHAN qualifiers following the departure of Frenchman, Sebastian Desabre, a game he won convincingly 3-1 at the Stade du Ville before a 7-2 aggregate triumph over the horn of Africa nation.
His second test came against Burundi in the second round of the same competition capping a memorable end to a feat by leading the Cranes to Cameroon 2020.
Uganda Cranes beat Burundi 3-0 away in Bujumbura before triumphing with the same score in Kampala for a 6-0 aggregate progression to the 2020 Finals.
Following the appointment of new Head Coach, Johnathan Mckinstry, Abdallah Mubiru will now leave the Cranes Job and concentrate on Police FC’s Duties in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
