Uganda will host the 4th edition of the ITTF Eastern African regional table tennis championships starting on Thursday 28th November at the Pope Paul memorial center in Rubaga.

Eight countries including hosts Uganda will compete in the 4th edition of the East African Table Tennis championship.

Tanzania, Madagascar, Ethiopia, and Djibouti are among the countries to be represented at the two-day event that will be hosted in Uganda for the first time.

Uganda Table Tennis Federation president Robert Jjagwe says hosting this event is a vote of confidence from the international governing body, while Uganda Olympic Committee Chairman William Blick says this tournament will serve a lot in building talent in the country.

National Council of Sports General Secretary Dr. Bernard Ogwel reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting all sports in the country.
