Just days after winning the last event of the year, Uganda’s rally ace Ponsiano Lwakataka is already shifting focus on 2020.
The two-time national rally champion hopes for a third crown next year as he marks 20 years in the sport.
Ponsiano Lwakataka nicknamed ‘Mafu Mafu’ is to many the poster boy of Uganda’s motorsport for over a decade.
His prowess behind the wheel made him a hero even in Kyebando, where he resides.
The road leading to his home was re-named after the two-time national rally champion.
In 2020, Lwakataka will be marking 20 years in the sport. He says he wants to mark the milestone with a 3rd national crown.
The two-time champion won two events in 2019. One in Buloba and most recently, the one in Busiika that climaxed the 2019 calendar.
