Defending champions Proline FC have been drawn against Katwe United in the Round of 64 of the Uganda cup.
The draws ceremony was conducted on Thursday at the Serena Hotel in Kampala.
Uganda cup defending champions Proline FC will start their title defense against Startimes FUFA big-league outfit Katwe United on a yet to be confirmed date.
League leaders Vipers SC, who today unveiled former KCCA FC and Mbarara city forward Paul Mucureezi, will face off against Kajjansi United while Startimes Uganda Premier League defending champions KCCA FC will visit CATDA FC at the Kira Police grounds among other fixtures.
This year, the prize money has been increased from 120 to 132 million Uganda shillings with the winner set to walk away with 40million shillings, 20 million shillings for the runners up, 12 million for semifinalists, 6 million for quarter-finalists, and 3 million for the teams that will qualify for the round of 16.
Proline FC are the defending champions having beaten Bright Stars on penalties in last year’s final.
