Stanbic Uganda Cup defending champions, Proline FC, progressed to the Uganda Cup Round of 32 following a 2-1 victory over Katwe United at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
Katwe United, coached by serial promotion coach Allan Kabonge, took the lead on the 8th minute through Mike Lubowa, with the first stanza seeing no more goals.
The second stanza saw a different animal in the defending champions, Proline FC, as their positive approach saw them level matters through captain Mustafa Mujuzi on the 51st minute.
Hakeem Kiwanuka then went on to find the back of the net to separate the two sides earning the Lugogo-based side their ticket to the Round of 32 this year.
In the other games played on Tuesday, Kiryandongo Town Council were beaten by Kigezi Homeboyz 3-1, while cash-strapped StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Tooro United defeated Star Light FC 3-2.
On Wednesday in the Round of 64, Kajjansi United host Vipers SC at Mutesa II Stadium, Busia Young entertain Busoga United at Busia Integrated Primary School, while Onduparaka visit Bugamba in a game to be played at Buganda Ground.
