Uganda Swimming Federation president, Donald Rukare, shared on his achievements as the sport’s president for the last 18 years.
Rukare’s focus now is constructing a swimming pool for the federation.
Donald Rukare started swimming at the age of just 4. Rukare rose to the swimming federation’s presidency in 2004 and has served in the role to-date.
His tenure at the helm is not one that has gone without challenges, as would be expected.
The Uganda Swimming Federation does not own a swimming pool. However, Rukare is determined to change that.
Uganda is ranked Number 1 in Africa in juniors’ swimming.
