Tooro United Football Club’s ship continued to sink following a disappointing 1-0 loss to Sports Club Villa that kept them bottom of the 16-team log going into the league break.
Sports Club Villa took the lead on the 39th minute through Faizal Muwawu, who fired home after Tooro United’s goalkeeper Michael Nantamu failed to deal with a David Owori cross.
The goal scorer later got injured and was replaced by Benson Muhindo, who came close for Villa on the 62nd minute, but Nantamu denied his effort.
The win left SC villa in the 3rd position with 46 points, four behind second-placed KCCA FC while Tooro are last on the table with 22 points.
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League took an official break until the 5th of May as the summoned home-based players shift focus to the CHAN 2020 finals that will take place in Cameroon next month.
