Busy day as European transfer deadline nears

Unlike the usual where players move for crazy fees, this concluding window has been fair with most players moving on cheap loans or relatively low prices.

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea have been one of the busiest having signed seven and released as many players.

Former RB Leipzig Striker Timo Werner tops the list that includes midfielder Kai Hervertz, shot-stopper Eduardo Mendy from Rennes, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silver, Hakim Ziyech, and Malang Sar.

The blues released Pedro Rodriguez, Michy Batshuayi, Ross Barkley, Davide Zappacosta, Willian Borges Da Silva, among others.

Strugglers Manchester United have only brought in Dutch midfielder Donny De Beek from Ajax but have reportedly agreed on terms with FC Porto for left-back Alex Telles. Free-agent Edinson Cavani could also join the Red Devils, while Ole Gunner Solsjaer hasn’t given up on his hopes of signing his long time target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

The Red Devils are also in talks to sign Atalanta winger Amad Traore, with a deal likely to be completed in January with Ousmane Dembele also rumored to be on his way to Old Trafford from Barcelona.

Mikel Arteta’s gunners are on the verge of missing out on their key target Houssem Aouar from Lyon after the French side announced that they are not selling their star defender.

Arteta has however already brought in Willian Da Silver and Gabriel Dos Santos from Lille among other players and imminent reports suggest that they could sign Athletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey before the window closes.

Jose Mourinho too has been busy with seven confirmed signings including former England number one Joe Hart, Pierre Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton, Sergio Regulion from Real Madrid, and Matt Doherty from Wolves.

The big catch however is Gareth Bale who returned to spurs on loan from Real Madrid.

Manchester City have signed five including Pablo Moreno from Juventus, Ferran Torres from Valencia, defender Nathan Ake from Bournemouth, Scott Carson on loan from Derby County, and Ruben Dias from Benfica.

Holders Liverpool, who just got humiliated by minnows Aston Villa, have signed three including Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich, Konstantinos Tsimikas from Olympiacos, and Forward Diogo Jota from Wolves.

The English premier league airs every Saturday on the home of sport Sanyuka TV.
